Ise is described as a "Country with delight and beauty" in Nihon Shoki, the oldest Chronicles of Japan.
Ise is blessed with beautiful sceneries and mild weather with Ise Shrine in its center. Ise has full offerings from each season, and Ise is said to be rich with products from sea, mountain, and river. The best among them is the abalone of highest quality, which was selected as a offering for great deity of Amaterasu, Ise Shrine and imperial court, and has since occupied a special spot as a product to show appreciation and hospitality by Japanese people.
Ise Sekiya entrusted "Japan and the soul of Japan" in the taste of our products and offers variety of savory products, which ingredients are the gems from selected ocean and mountain, with abundant traditional sauce, and are finished with naturally derived seasonings.
Our main store is located alongside the pilgrimage street to the Outer Shrine of Ise, which is dedicated to the deity of Toyoukeno Oomikamimi, who is the guardian deity of food and various industries. We also would like to pay courtesy and gratitude toward this deity who protects the "life" of all things, and we are determined to devote our everyday effort to "put our heart to bring delicacy" and to hand down the savory taste from ancient age to modern times.
